HubSpot’s quarterly results for Q1
Total revenue was $501.6 million, up 27% from Q1’22.Subscription revenue was $489.7 million, up 27% from Q1’22.Professional services and other revenue was $11.9 million, up 12% from Q1’22.Total revenue is expected to be between $2.080 billion and $2.088 billion. Operating profit is expected to be between $275.0 million and $279.0 million.

HubSpot lays off 500 employees

In an email dated January 31, 2023, Yamini Rangan, CEO of HubSpot announced that it has been decided to downsize HubSpot’s team by 7%. The layoff affects approximately 500 HubSpot employees. The email, which is available online, gives a few reasons why the decision was made. Among them, growth in 2022 slowed significantly more than expected at the beginning of the year. Also, in recent years, headcount grew faster than revenue in some teams.
HubSpot celebrates its 10th anniversary in Ireland
In 2013, HubSpot opened its first international headquarters in Dublin with a small team. To celebrate HubSpot’s 10th anniversary in Ireland, the team has grown to over 1,000 employees working @home, @flex and @office. The goal is to help the more than 158,000 customers worldwide grow better.
HubSpot has published a report on the gender pay gap in Ireland 2022
Since 2022, companies in Ireland with more than 250 employees are required to report their gender pay gap. HubSpot’s published Gender Pay Gap in Ireland 2022 report provides gender pay gap statistics for the period July 2021 to June 2022 and explains the causes of the gap.

HubSpot announces general availability of WhatsApp integration
HubSpot, the customer relationship management (CRM) platform for scaling businesses, today announced that native integration for WhatsApp is now available to all Marketing Hub and Service Hub customers at the Professional level and above.
With the HubSpot integration, teams can connect an existing WhatsApp business account as a messaging channel to their shared inbox to communicate with prospects and customers while leveraging data within HubSpot CRM.
ClickUp and HubSpot announce strategic partnership
Productivity platform provider ClickUp and HubSpot announced the launch of what they say is a high-demand partnership. The goal is to help customers create more efficient workflows and improve collaboration between teams.
There will be two-way integration across both platforms: In the next generation integration, ClickUp and HubSpot users will have the ability to sync data between the platforms so that all information can be accessed and updated without manual input. In this way, HubSpot aims to bring customer-facing teams closer to operations for better visibility and collaboration.
New documentary series from HubSpot and LinkedIn on startup founders scaling up.
HubSpot announced that HubSpot for Startups is partnering with LinkedIn to produce a new documentary series, Spiraling Up: The Journey to Become a Unicorn. Over three seasons, this series will chronicle the journey of startup founders at every stage of funding – from seed round to unicorn status.
“HubSpot and LinkedIn produced this docu-series to showcase all that goes into growing and scaling a business,” said Kipp Bodnar, CMO of HubSpot.
Season 1 of Spiraling Up: The Journey to Become a Unicorn includes the following startup leaders:
- Suneera Madhani, CEO and co-founder of Stax.

HubSpot expands its podcast network with new shows and a second cohort of the Creators Accelerator Program
HubSpot announced the second cohort of its Creators Accelerator Program, which identifies and invests in independent content creators worldwide. In addition to the eight shows in this cohort, HubSpot announced that four more shows will join the podcast network. These shows will focus on the representation and intersection of business, technology and media.
HubSpot’s “The State of Partner Ops and Programs” report available for free download
The report is based on a survey of more than 650 partner professionals and executives with the goal of demonstrating the business impact of partner ecosystems.
Below is key data cited by Hubspot from the survey, which was conducted in August and September 2022:
- 93% of enterprise organizations and 78% of all organizations have a partner program.
- 65% of companies see partnerships as essential to their future growth.
- 50% of companies attribute 26% or more of their revenue to partners.
- 40% of companies do not employ full-time staff for partner operations.
- 77% of companies surveyed have technology partners. Technology partners were ranked as the most important partner type.
- 90% of partner professionals who do not currently use partner technology believe their company should start.
HubSpot reports Q3 2022 results.
HubSpot announced financial results for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2022.
HubSpot grew revenue 31 percent year-over-year to nearly $443.96 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2022. However, this represented a further slowdown in growth for the U.S.-based software company. In the previous quarter, this still amounted to 36 percent.
HubSpot posted net income of minus $31.41 million in the reporting period (previous year: minus $13.74 million), or minus $0.65 per share (previous year: minus $0.29).
HubSpot invests in Jasper, a program that uses AI for content marketing
HubSpot Ventures has invested in Jasper, a company that uses AI to write blogs, social media posts, website copy and more. The company’s goal, it says, is not to eliminate writers, but to turn them into editors. Jasper’s goal is to provide content marketers with a great starting point to accelerate content production and build a pipeline of high-quality content.
HubSpot ranked as a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for B2B Marketing Automation Platforms
HubSpot announced that it has been positioned by Gartner as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for B2B Marketing Automation Platforms for its Marketing Hub for the second consecutive year. The ranking is based on specific criteria that analyze the company’s completeness of vision and ability to execute.
In the two characteristics of completeness of vision and ability to execute, HubSpot is ranked behind Adobe, Salesforce and Oracle in the B2B Marketing Automation space.
New integration of Crunchbase with HubSpot
With the new integration, HubSpot users should be able to quickly discover new prospects, send them directly to HubSpot, and take them on immediately. It also displays HubSpot details in Crunchbase, so users can see which prospects are already in HubSpot.
Cross-platform enhancements announced by HubSpot at INBOUND 2022
Changes to the HubSpot platform were announced at Inbound 2022 for several areas. The goal is a more connected customer experience. In addition to the new product updates, HubSpot also announced the launch of connect.com, a new community.
Listed below are a few of the new features announced:
- Improvements in data import supported by automation
- Customer journey analytics – a new feature with detailed visualizations
- Campaign improvements to give marketers a consolidated view of all initiatives
- Service Hub enhancements
- Custom Object Builder to create custom data models
- Data Quality Command Center to provide an overview of data quality
HubSpot presented results for the second quarter (Q2 2022)
- Total revenue was $421.8 million, up 36% from Q2 ’21.
- Subscription revenue was $412.4 million, up 37% from Q2 ’21.
- Increase in customers to 150,865 as of June 30, 2022, up 25% from June 30, 2021.
- Average subscription revenue per customer was $11,198 in Q2 2022, up 10% from Q2 2021.
- Other revenue, such as services, was $9.4 million, down 10% from Q221.
HubSpot introduces free drag-and-drop website builder
Recently, Hubspot announced the launch of CMS free – an entry-level content management system. It is designed to help businesses easily create fast, secure, and reliable websites that drive business growth. This is because a company’s website is usually the first contact a potential customer has with the company. As such, it has become one of the most important, if not the most important, marketing tool.
Additionally, HubSpot provides CMS free users with the following features: Premium cloud hosting, lead capture tools, on-page SEO recommendations, free choice of domain and features of a blog.
Integration of HubSpot with Dropbox
Create, sign and track documents: This is now possible in Dropbox.
For this purpose, the cloud service integrates the digital signing process of HelloSign and uses the technology of HubSpot.
Contracts can be sent directly from HubSpot for electronic signing via contact, business or company objects. Each signed document is immediately saved automatically in HubSpot’s CRM. – HelloSign integration is available immediately for all subscriptions.
Hubspot customers pay 12% more than in 2021
Hubspot customer costs increased year-over-year in the first quarter, particularly due to additional features and upgrades – for both new and existing customers.
Hubspot customers paid an average of $11,000 per year in license fees in Q1 2022, according to the company’s first quarter financial statements.
Despite the price hike, Hubspot continues to add new customers. In the first quarter of 2022, 8,200 new customers signed up for subscriptions.
The Hubspot 2022 Sustainability Report
The sustainability report includes three main pillars for investments with which Hubspot wants to contribute to the future of further generations. These pillars are a) climate protection, b) creating equity for employees and society, and c) good corporate governance.
By pursuing investments in the above areas, Hubspot achieved some successes, such as using 100% green power for all buildings, successfully implementing a C-level female quota of over 50%, and supporting communities and food banks with over $8 million.

HubSpot continues global expansion in Spain, the Netherlands and Canada
A company with more than 6,400 employees supporting more than 143,000 customers in more than 120 countries, HupSpot will expand its international presence in Spain and the Netherlands in 2022 and in Quebec, Canada in 2023.
This announcement follows the opening of new locations in Ontario, Canada, and the United Kingdom in 2021.
HubSpot expands its app accelerator program
HubSpot’s App Accelerator program was launched in 2020.
Now in its third year, the program is expanding its scope to provide even more integrations and solutions to international and cross-market customers. In doing so, HubSpot partners will be brought in to develop custom integrations and solutions that address customer feedback that falls outside the normal scope of HubSpot’s product team.
HubSpot announced first quarter 2022 numbers
Hubspot presented its quarterly results for the period ending 03/31/2022 on 05/05/2022. Total revenue was $395.6 million, up 41% from Q1’21.
